Sufia Foundation

 With the 2021 turnover of power in Afghanistan, the Bibi Halima orphanage in Baghdis lost critical government funding. The orphanage, which was home to 60 boys was shut down, and they were sent to stay with their struggling relatives. The facility is what these boys had come to know as home, and they were eager to return. With support from donors, we were able to reopen the orphanage and provide for the basic needs of the boys, including educational opportunities.
